Vijaydurg Fault
Google Earth NE looking View of the Vijadurg fault. The fault separates uplift to the west from subsidence to the east. Fault offset is approximately 20 m. There is no evidence for subsidence of the 18th century structures surrounding Vijadurg Fort.
Close up of the east-facing Vijaydurg fault scarp (roads for scale). The fault jogs to the west near Padel, and may do so offshore. The antiquity of the most recent date of slip is unknown.
