Highlights from CIRES Outreach

CIRES Educational Outreach Program

CIRES Outreach has developed new education products and projects over the last year. These include new films such as "Upward and Outward", a documentary film based upon Peter Molnar’s research on the Tibetan Plateau, and "Polar Visions" a film about Arctic Climate Change. Other highlights include ongoing research on controversy in the classroom, as evidenced in evolution and climate change education; a new climate communications workshop, and space weather outreach related to the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) satellite mission.
