12th AMS Users Meeting, Orlando, FL, Oct. 1-3, 2011

• The AMS Users' Meeting in 2011 will be held at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando, Florida the weekend prior to the AAAR meeting which will also be held in this hotel. This is the first time we have held our meeting at a hotel and we have chosen to do so because of the Florida location of the AAAR and for the convenience of our users. The AAAR meeting runs from October 3 through 7, 2011. The AMS Users' Meeting will be Oct 1-3 (Mon Oct. 3 does overlap with the tutorials of the AAAR Meeting).

• • Day 1 will focus on hardware, data acquisition, and analysis issues of importance to all AMS users. Progress and advances in new instrumentation (ACSM, SP-AMS, CIMS-AMS) will also be discussed.
  • Day 2 will primarily focus on ToF-AMS data analysis issues. New developments in the data analysis software (Squirrel, PIKA, PMF) will be introduced and best practice recommendations from the recent Boulder Clinic will be presented. More detailed schedules will be sent out shortly.
  • Day 3 will be not have a formal agenda to allow for those who plan to attend tutorials to do so but will be open for discussions of specific users’ questions and issues in an open mike format.
