This page is a repository of information for planning the 3rd AMS Data Analysis Clinic Meeting, which will take place in Boulder in early 2011. A shorcut to this page is http://tinyurl.com/AMSClinic3

Dates and Location

The 3rd AMS Data Analysis Clinic Meeting is tentatively scheduled for March 21-25 at the University of Colorado-Boulder. It will be organized by the Jimenez Group. We will post information here as it becomes available.

If you learn of an important conflict for these dates, such as a conference or field study, please let Jose know.

Attendees

The list of attendees is kept on this Google Spreadsheet. Click the Edit link at the bottom if you want to make changes. (Pls make changes only on the sheet named "2011", the one from 2010 is there only as a reference).

Topics

Tentatively the structure of the Clinic will be similar to that of the 2010 Clinic, with some invited presentations and the expectation that many users will do informal and impromptu presentations of their own data. A preliminary schedule is:

  • Day 1: PMF, errors, MS intercomparison
  • Day 2: quantification issues, calibrations, CE, RIE, semi-refractory...
  • Day 3: High-resolution issues, elemental analysis
  • Day 4: overflow and other topics

Detailed Topics to discuss

Please enter here any detailed topics that you would like to discuss during the Clinic, to be refined before and during the meeting itself:

  • Updates on CE and its dependence on composition and phase
  • Updates on slowly evaporating species ("semi-refractory")
  • Results of the MS intercomparison exercise
