+ indicates Ps conversion not above noise level.

tt indicates Ps was accompanied by several adjacent pulses making identification of Moho Ps difficult or potentially ambiguous.

SS picked from Ps on Z-r deconvolution; not above noise on L-H deconvolution.

** Ps noticeably larger than nearby signal but below noise level.

Uncertainty on Ps picks (from Moho) are widths of pulse (i.e., pulse 1 s wide produced uncertainty of 0.5 s).

Blunder Index (BI): 1 is best, higher is worse. Attempts to indicate likelihood of a blunder in assigning the Ps pick made to the Moho along the presumed raypath. Quality = 1 + 1 if L-H decon has pulse > 1[sigma] centered at 0 offset + 0.5 if L-H >1[sigma] at 0 offset from pulse off 0 + 1 if Z-t (transverse) decon > 1 [sigma] at 0 offset + 0.5 if a pulse > 1 [sigma] is on L-H decon preceeding 0 offset + 0.5 for each 10% the variance reduction is below 80% + 0.5 for residual/noise variance below 1.0 (0.8 for PP) + 0.5 for residual/noise variance below 0.8 (0.6 for PP) + (11/(number of stations) -1). If a trace has an undesired pulse near but not exceeding 1 [sigma] level, half the penalty listed is added.

Variance reductions are weighted variance reductions of L-H components deconvolution to avoid considering the variance reduction from fitting the direct P as significant.

Residual variance/noise variance are ratios of unweighted variances for L-H deconvolution. Values less than one indicate overfitting of radial waveform (except possibly for events where PP was used, where pre-arrival noise might include energy from other phases).

Mean is weighted mean of SP and BB picks using pulse half widths as though standard errors (Table 4) except for shallow and deep Ps at MK, where only SP picks are used but supplemented by additionbal picks of secondary arrivals not in Table 4.

Shallow Ps at MK mostly to southeast; deep Ps from most backazimuths. Dipping plane a fit using a multiple linear regression to (east, north, depth) points for Moho penetration along Ps ray for each event. Dip uncertainties are usually 3-5°.

Moho depths can be adjusted for other crustal parameters using the curves in Figure 5, e.g., [nu] = 0.24 produces a Moho ~1.5 km shallower than listed here.

* ignoring picks for events in this backazimuth range, where extreme bending of the raypath and possible multipathing appear to exist.
