Mission Definition Process
- Form a (technology-neutral) Mission Definition Team Sub-Group (M. Hardesty - Chair, R. Menzies,
S. Mango, D. Emmitt, J. Yoe, R. Atlas, K. Miller, W. Baker) and deliberate on the various
technology scenarios in the contest of what will constitute a meaningful demonstration mission
(scientific and technological), as a step toward meeting the GTWS threshold requirements.
Initially target the NPOESS C-2 spacecraft. Work backward from the NPOESS launch schedules. -
M. Hardesty et al.
- Develop a long-term mission concept and schedule with key milestones. - M. Hardesty et al.
