This page contains the schedule for graduate cumulative exams ("Cumes") for the Analytical and Environmental Chemistry Division at CU-Boulder.

Fall 2009

  • September 12th - Feldheim: Surface characterization tools. This exam will cover the basics of surface characterization techniques. Examples include but are not limited to STM, XPS, electron energy loss spectroscopy (including RHEED and LEED), Auger electron spectroscopy, reflectance IR, and surface-enhanced Raman. The focus will be on how these techniques work, what information they provide, and the types of chemical systems they have been used to study.
