Cliff Palace, Mesa Verde National Park, Colorado

Cliff Palace is the largest cliff dwelling in North America (or so the ranger is telling us). The dwellings here are all in the Cretaceous Mesa Verde Group, which here represents near shoreline deposits along the western edge of the Western Interior Seaway. July, 2006.
