Delicate Arch is one of the icons of the American West. Two other arches are visible in this panorama; all are cut in the Jurassic Entrada Sandstone. In the initial image the La Sal Mountains are visible behind Delicate Arch; these peaks are middle Tertiary intrusive rocks younger than all the other rocks in the region. July, 2006.
