Grand Canyon from Desert View

(Shift goes in, control goes out, click-drag to move around)

Initial view is upstream towards Marble Canyon. East-dipping Precambrian Grand Canyon supergroup (including the Cardinas basalts, prominent black cliffy unit) is near the river overlain by the flat Paleozoic sediments. The unconformity is more obvious as you move to the left. Far down river (farthest left) you can see the Paleozoic sediments overlying the Vishnu Schist/Zoraster granite basement complex.
