The model window is where you control the dimensions of your profile, the orientation of it, and the physical properties of any bodies on your profile.
When magnetics are being viewed (either Induced Magnetics or Remanent Magnetics are selected in the View Menu), then the latitude and orientation of the profile are shown. The orientation is the direction towards the right side of the profile relative to magnetic north. In this mode, the code approximates the magnetic field from an axial dipole.
If you have selected to input the magnetic field manually from the Preferences Window, then you can enter the intensity, inclination and declination of the magnetic field here. In this case, the profile azimuth is relative to geographic north.
The list box with bodies listed allows editing the name of a body, its physical properties, and the color of it in the Section Window. Clicking on the color will open a color picker window to allow a choice of color. When gravity is being modelled, the density contrast of the body with its surroundings is shown. When induced magnetics are shown, then the magnetic susceptibility of the body is visible. When remanent magnetization is being modelled, the remanent intensity, declination, and inclination for the body are visible.
Bodies can be added or removed using the Add Body or Delete Body buttons when the model listbox is active.
The vertices for a body can be edited numerically in the bottom panel of the Model Window. (They can also be edited graphically from the Section Window). When the vertex panel is active, vertices can be added or removed using the Add Point and Delete Point buttons. The segment dip is shown for the side of the polygon connecting that point and the next point; this is calculated and cannot be edited.

If a body is above points with a positive elevation, the body's line in the top pane of the model window will be highlighted in pink and the text italicized.
